Limpsfield Parish Council is a democratically elected authority given legal powers to run certain local facilities and services and to help manage and shape the future of the Limpsfield community.

Limpsfield also has an adopted Neighbourhood Plan that serves to ensure the Parish Council and parishioners have a say in planning and development issues on a district and county level. (See Neighbourhood Plan info HERE).

Parish councillors are unpaid and elected to represent the best interests of their local residents, and parish councils need funds to support their activities. These funds are raised by adding an extra cost known as a “precept” to each householder’s Council Tax bill.

Tandridge District Council has to consult Limpsfield Parish Council on all local planning issues, appeals, and inquiries where they affect the parish.

The Parish Council may also be involved in providing, maintaining and protecting areas such as *allotments, churchyards and cemeteries, open spaces and playing fields, lighting, litter control, dog-fouling, ponds, footpaths, roadside verges, seats and shelters.

It is also tasked with providing local facilities for entertainment, arts & crafts, public halls for social recreations or athletic pursuits, swimming pools and public toilets.

Limpsfield Parish Council meets on the second Monday of every month at Limpsfield CofE Infants School, Limpsfield Common. Our smaller Committee meetings are held at either the St Peter’s Parish Office, Limpsfield High Street or TVA Offices on Gresham Road.

Please check the venue on the appropriate agenda. Members of the public are welcome. There is a Public Session when questions can be put to the Council without notice having to be given in advance.

*NB Limpsfield Parish Council does not manage any allotments, churchyards or cemeteries. These are run either by the Church, Tandridge District Council or allotment associations. Contact numbers in our “Useful Numbers” section.

The current members of the Parish Council can be found HERE.

For any Parish Council matter, please contact the Clerk, clerk@limpsfield.org.
